Innovation
AI where it gives time back to care.
Innovation at Galeon starts from medical data structured as it is entered. In use in the EHR: LAP-certified prescribing support, automatic prescription reading, procedure coding support. In development: voice transcription and AI-drafted reports. Always under a clinician’s validation.
In use
What AI already does in the EHR.
LAP-certified prescribing
Interactions, contraindications and doses checked in real time.
Medication management →Prescription reading
On admission, AI reads the patient’s prescription and extracts the treatment; the clinician validates.
Procedure coding support
Procedures identified and coded (PMSI, CCAM) so that actual activity is billed.
The EHR’s AI →Hacker Defense Protection®
Detect a cyberattack and keep access to the patient record: recognised at the CES Innovation Awards 2024, cybersecurity category.
Security and certifications →In development
What is coming, labelled as such.
Voice transcription
Medical dictation in French transcribed straight into the record, on European infrastructure.
AI-drafted reports
A first draft of the discharge letter, built on the record’s data, with safeguards against errors, and always reviewed and validated by the doctor.
Biomarkers
Spotting at-risk situations such as sepsis or haemorrhage earlier, from the record’s data: a research track, with first proofs of concept planned.
Studies and research
With the FLASHS institute, Galeon published the study “How French people see AI in healthcare”, conducted among 2,003 people in France in March 2025. The EHR’s structured data also supports hospitals’ clinical research. On 18 November 2026, Galeon co-hosts the “AI & Data Driven Medicine” day in Marseille: seven talks from the field on AI in hospitals, laboratories and imaging (events). FAQ
What we are asked about AI.
Does Galeon’s AI make medical decisions?
No. AI suggests, the clinician validates: a prescription read by AI, a suggested procedure code or a draft report is only recorded once a healthcare professional has validated it.
What is already in use?
LAP-certified prescribing support, automatic reading of prescriptions on admission, procedure coding support (French PMSI and CCAM), compatibility with voice dictation tools, and Hacker Defense Protection® against cyberattacks.
Why structure data as it is entered?
Because structured data, coded in the sector’s standards (ICD-10, CCAM, ATC, LOINC, SNOMED CT), can be found, shared and analysed. It is the precondition for any useful medical AI.
